This contract position, based out of Dallas, TX, but operating remotely, offers an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with a strong background in managed care.
The primary responsibilities for this position involve establishing criteria for medications, recommending plan design changes, and initiating clinical programs to optimize patient outcomes
You will be instrumental in monitoring prior authorization requests, providing essential clinical support to internal departments, and addressing any clinical-related inquiries
A key aspect of the role is to ensure appropriate quality controls are in place and to proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement within pharmacy practice
Furthermore, you will develop and implement programs focused on Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for both Medicaid and other services, and participate in the coordination of Medicare Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs.

Requirements
- PharmD degree.
- Experience in pharmacy and prior authorization processes.
- Strong understanding of managed care systems.
- Proficiency in Medicare and Medicaid protocols.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple demands.
