About the Role We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to help accelerate our product engineering team by providing the expertise and ownership necessary to ensure we are able to continually deploy value consistently and with confidence of the underlying infrastructure supporting the needs of the platform

In this this role, you will help lead the technical architecture and drive infrastructure solutions that enable product functionality and scalability

You will partner with the Product Engineering team to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation strategies while ensuring that security and compliance are at the forefront of our development operations

Key Responsibilities Technical Architecture & Infrastructure Solutions: Partner with our Principle Product Engineer and CTO to help lead architecture discussions to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure that aligns with product functionality needs

Make technical decisions and propose infrastructure solutions that meet evolving product requirements

Understand the core problems the business and product teams are trying to solve and collaborate to outline infrastructure and architecture solutions that allow them to achieve those effectively

Evaluate existing architecture and offer recommendations for improvements

Partner with the data team to implement necessary infrastructure that can support existing data systems, ETL, and secure connectivity to external data sources

Determine when to utilize IaaS vs PaaS based on the outcomes required and offer insights as to why one would be beneficial over the other for the given outcome

CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines that streamline the development and deployment processes

Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to improve pipeline performance, reduce deployment time, and minimize errors

Partner with other engineers on the product engineer team to identify other potential code improvements that will subsequently improve the platform’s overall reliability and improve how our software is improving resource utilization

Infrastructure as Code & Automations: Design, develop, manage infrastructure in a repeatable, deployable manner to automate provisioning, configuration, and management tasks

Enhance infrastructure automation to improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency

Containerization Strategies: Partner with the product engineering team to determine strategies and approaches related to containerization

As necessary, manage and optimize container orchestration strategies to support scalable, reliable application deployment

Security & Compliance: Integrate security best practices into all infrastructure solutions and CI/CD processes

Ensure compliance with security requirements, particularly for highly-regulated industries like healthcare

Collaboration & Technical Guidance: Work closely with the rest of the product engineering team to integrate best practices throughout the product lifecycle

Serve as the go-to expert on Azure and DevOps practices within the team, providing guidance and training when needed

Qualifications Experience: Mid to senior level experience in a DevOps engineering role within a product-focused environment

Proven expertise in Azure and associated services

Technical Skills: Strong background in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure

Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code methodologies

Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible Experience with PostgreSQL, Azure SQL / MSSQL Familiarity with SupaBase a plus

Industry Experience: Prior experience in highly-regulated industries such as healthcare is a significant plus

Soft Skills: Ability to collaborate as a part of a team to determine appropriate solutions to problems

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote, cross-functional team environment
