Meritain Pharmacy Solutions CARE Specialist

This position within CVS Health's Meritain Pharmacy Solutions CARE (Cost Avoidance Research Effort) team is a crucial remote role focused on patient engagement and cost savings for specialty medications

The CARE Specialist will work directly with patients, guiding them through the complexities of the healthcare system and assisting with pricing for high-cost medications

Key responsibilities include diligently researching specialty drug cost savings for members and self-funded clients, monitoring the performance of high-dollar specialty claims, and conducting research and outreach on appropriate medication interchanges between medical and pharmacy benefits

The specialist will also triage escalated, high-touch member claims issues and service concerns, performing proactive outbound communication to ensure members maximize savings on their specialty medications

Furthermore, the role involves researching available Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) and foundational assistance for specialty medications not covered

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting, coupled with 2 years of specialty medication knowledge and experience with various patient assistance programs

Travel up to 10% may be required.
