In this fully remote pharmacist role, you will be leveraging your clinical skills to perform utilization management reviews for a prominent client in the healthcare industry
This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, indicating a path to long-term employment based on performance and mutual fit

Your core responsibilities will include conducting utilization management reviews for prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions
You will work independently while also collaborating with a team of experienced pharmacy professionals, ensuring an efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
Performance will be evaluated against monthly quality and productivity goals
Beyond the initial responsibilities, there will be opportunities for specialized case reviews, such as oncology or hepatitis C cases, especially post-peak season
Cross-training for other departments, including Medication Therapy Management and Call Center Counseling, is also part of the growth trajectory.

Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.
- Current pharmacist license in good standing with any U.S. State Board of Pharmacy.
- Two years of work experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Motivated self-starter capable of making independent clinical decisions.
- Proficiency with learning new computer systems and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Word and Excel, and ability to type 35+ WPM.
- Cannot reside in California, Hawaii, or Virginia.
